Yet another blog.

I have a account ended with @msn.com. Yes, it's a decade-old account with password forgotten. The reason I am concerned with this account is that it seems... it is hacked and someone else is using that account.

I've been trying to do anything, like doing password recovery page, visiting local Microsoft office, store, and some phone call to customer support.... none of them are working nor trying to help me.

What I know is, they pretty much closed a way to contact a live person via phone or e-mail for Accounts problems.

I pretty much came to conclusion that I actually need to visit Microsoft HQ itself, like trying to go to their visitor center...

Or is there any other place for my microsoft account problem? I've already tried so called Microsoft offices, but they said they do not handle account problems.

If I have to go to MS HQ, then so be it. It will be a bit costy trip, but I can afford it.

Is it possible due to inactivity the user name you had chosen was de-activated and someone new as properly claimed it for themselves?

Try the email route to contact Microsoft Support.

You might find the info useful on the answer given to the person whose mail was hacked:

This looks good:
